The California native Calvano was initially attracted to the sport of competitive gymnastics. But she decided later to go after a career as an actress. Her screen debut came in the year 2010, in a segment on the CBS program NCIS. The big screen debut came a year later in the biographical crime thriller movie J Edgar.
