When she was awarded the title and smooching the winner the queen, she swept away all of her rivals. On June 15, 1985, Miss Georgia was to be named in her honour. Furthermore, on Saturday, June 22, 1985, she won the tournament. Mohr was selected to represent Georgia and Georgia's state of Georgia in the Miss America pageant in 1986 held at Atlantic City New Jersey. In spite of her success however, she was not within the Top 10 for the title of Miss America national.
